How We Think About Sustainability

• Meet — and where possible, exceed — applicable local, state, and federal legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practice recommendations relating to sustainability
• Integrate sustainability considerations into business strategy and decision-making at every level
• Ensure that staff, partners, and customers understand and support our sustainability principles
• Actively encourage partners and customers to develop their own sustainability initiatives
• Review and evolve our sustainability principles through annual audit processes
• Support customers and partners in pursuing carbon offset credits where desired

How We Run Our Data Centers

• All data center partners are LEED Certified and/or Energy Star Compliant, or are actively pursuing these certifications
• All data center partners operate on 100% renewable energy, or are actively working toward this goal
• All data center partners utilize ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 50001 Energy Management System frameworks — or equivalent — or are actively pursuing these certifications
• All data center partners are committed to the ongoing optimization of Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE)
• All data center partners operate with a carbon neutral footprint, or are actively pursuing this goal
• All data center partners employ granular temperature controls and automated, optimized lighting systems, or are working toward implementing these
• All data center partners evaluate and consider alternate water supply solutions where available
• All data center infrastructure equipment that can be sustainably recycled is sustainably recycled
