RDP-based hosting puts your Sage software on a Windows server in someone’s data center, then lets you remote into that desktop. You’re using Sage through a window into another machine. That works, but it has trade-offs: dropped sessions, lag on large reports, awkward printing setups, and file transfers that need workarounds.
